Going to list the most common timezones first (UTC is an equivalent to GMT, more info on wikipedia): * US Pacific - winter: PST, UTC -8 - summer: PDT, UTC -7 * US Central - winter: CST, UTC -6 - summer: CDT, UTC -5 * US Eastern - winter: EST, UTC -5 - summer: EDT, UTC -4 * UK - winter: GMT, WET, UTC 0 - summer: WEST, UTC +1 * Europe - winter: CET, UTC +1 - summer: CEST, UTC +2 Converting timezones: look up your timezone in the first column, then look for the column corresponding to the timezone you're converting to. Add the number you find to the time you want to convert and you're done. from \\ to | pacific central eastern uk europe -----------+-------------------------------------------------- pacific | - +2 +3 +8 +9 central | -2 - +1 +6 +7 eastern | -3 -1 - +5 +6 uk | -8 -6 -5 - +1 europe | -9 -7 -6 -1 -
Note: there are a few weeks a year where Europe and the US are in a different daylight saving state. I'm not adding it to the conversion table as it would complicate the entire thing, and I'm trying to keep it as easy as possible. You can also find an online conversion tool at The World ClockPS: let me know if you want me to add timezones
