What is meant by a "Fusion Guild"?
Kampfgruppe hopes to become a "Fusion Guild" or a guild where many styles and tastes in play are accommodated.
As an example - if you would like to try Permanently Dead as a play style- our guild will have a PD wing (possibly PD light and HC PD)
If you want to try a role-playing style we would like to have members with that style of play.
If you like to dungeon crawl and do every quest on every setting - we'd like to have group for that.
Or maybe you just want to run in a group that is loose knit -we'd like to have a place for that too.
The main idea is that we would have some common codes - and I felt that reliance on the group skills and not the Auction House the Brokers the vendors and lopsided trades would be a good starting point.
After that you can join the guild and find the niche in it that suits your preferences. Heck I might even run some non permanent death characters!
Each of these niches would be a "Kampfgruppe" a group of players that meet together for a specific purpose. I'm also very open to ideas about how to make this guild playable for everyone with as many styles of play as we can find.
The main idea is to have a group of skilled players who have some basic guidelines.
One is the "bare bones style of play"
The other is a sense of maturity and decency.
If this appeals to you, look me up on Ghallanda.
Right now I'm a guild of one - so I'm hoping to have some comrades in arms soon!
Proposed Wings
PD Light - Rez shrines can be used, # of resurrections limited to base constitution
Standard Permadeath our base rules vis a vis AH, Brokers and Vendors with no restrictions on classes - quests - etc.
PD Hard/Core No Resurrection shrines with a one and done play style - open on Elite (if a VIP member can do so and move on)
Departed Souls - I have a feeling that the "One and done group may have a lot of members - so this would be for that adventurer you loved and lost. Open rules - allowed to PUG - but tactical play a must.
Role-players - Make a group that RP's their actions - have alignment - prejudices (in the game) make the banter interesting.
GIMPS - Did you know I came up with the "Get into Multiclassing" Idea.. well have a gimped out toon and see how far you can go.
AD&D rules. Play DDO with the leveling and build restrictions of AD&D.
Associated Free Agents - spread the good word about "Fusion Play" to any who would want to join - but maintain the integrity of the guild and use the no AH/Brokers/Vendors/trading rules as a base.
This will take a bit of time to develop - but I think it would have a great opportunity for a multitude of play-style preferences to come together.
